Job Summary
Own the site installation, testing, and commissioning of production equipment and solutions for the new factory in Wallula, WA. Provide onsite supervision of install crews and suppliers to ensure compliance with requirements, while taking full responsibility for project execution. Ensure all site work adheres to safety best practices and that documentation is archived per company directives. Coordinate necessary expertise from environment, safety, and MMR departments. Manage 80% of time on project sites, requiring temporary relocation for 2+ years, with occasional international travel for supplier visits and coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or experience in lieu of degree
- 5+ years working in a similar position, with site installation and machine construction
- 80% of the time on project sites, requiring temporary relocation for 2+ years at a time for projects
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to travel occasionally, both nationally and internationally
- Project management experience
- Ensure that all site work is done safely and in accordance with best practice site safety
- Ensure all documentation / reporting is done and archived following company directives and Group Technology rules, and available tools
- Ensure the necessary expertise from other departments - environment, safety, MMR's, are included in solutions

- Preference given to candidates who have smith, mechanic or other type of craftsman expertise
