Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson

Job Summary
Draft routine working sketches, layouts, and reports while calculating engineering aspects like stress, sizing, and flexibility. Create and revise CAD models in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, developing 2D drawings from 3D models and updating designs based on engineer feedback. Determine material and equipment selection, create estimates, and manage drawing system integrity within the product data management system. Check drafts for accuracy and completeness with department designers, organize project groups, and identify areas to increase manufacturing efficiency. This full-time permanent role supports the Engineering Team at Mafna Air Technologies Inc., a leader in custom air handling solutions and HVAC equipment serving clients across the US, Canada, and overseas.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in mechanical engineering or other related fields
- Familiarity with manufacturing designs or schematics
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Knowledge of Draftsite / Autocad
- Knowledge of Solid Works
- Knowledge of other 3D Softwares
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of sheet metal will be an asset
