Job Summary
Lead the U.S. Data Center Mechanical Engineering team for hyperscale programs, providing technical leadership, standards, and oversight of mechanical design (HVAC, piping, fire suppression) across the data center portfolio. Manage resources, mentor engineers, and collaborate with electrical, structural, and architectural teams to deliver integrated, code-compliant designs. Stay technically engaged as a senior resource, support construction phases, and participate in client meetings. Remote-enabled role within the US with occasional travel to project sites. Requires Bachelor’s in Mechanical Eng., 12+ years of experience, and a Professional Engineer license; relocation and visa sponsorship are not available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- twelve (12) years of relevant experience in mechanical design and/or mechanical engineering with a focus on data center infrastructure
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- Direct experience supporting data center projects
- Ability to lead and manage mechanical engineering teams across hyperscale data center programs
- Remote work flexibility with US-based base
- Strong technical oversight of HVAC, hydronic piping, and fire suppression systems
- Experience with design-bid-build and design-build delivery models
- Ability to mentor engineers and drive standardization and best practices
