Job Summary
Develop an outstanding and impactful research program while challenging the student body to reach their potential. Deliver excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching and mentoring, fostering active and collaborative learning environments. Contribute to departmental initiatives in technical excellence, innovation, and global engineering across areas such as autonomous vehicle control, MEMS, and additive manufacturing. Submit a one-page mission alignment statement detailing commitment to the university's religious mission and principles.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field
- The required degree must be completed by the start date
- A strong research plan and record commensurate with their experience
- A willingness to fully support and participate in the ideals and mission of BYU
- A desire and ability to effectively teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students
- A one-page mission alignment statement addressing loyalty to Jesus Christ and His restored Church
- A one-page mission alignment statement demonstrating intentionality in building faith in Jesus Christ and testimony of His restored gospel
- A one-page mission alignment statement teaching subject matter with the Spirit of God and keeping it bathed in the light and color of the restored gospel

- A current temple recommend (for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints)
