Job Summary

Support the design of HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial, hospitality, municipal, and federal projects by performing load calculations, ventilation analysis, and system sizing. Develop Revit/BIM models and construction documents, including ductwork and piping layouts, while coordinating with internal disciplines and external teams. Conduct field investigations and site visits to document existing conditions, then assist with construction administration tasks such as submittal reviews and responding to RFIs. Prepare technical specifications and energy compliance documentation, including COMcheck. This Mechanical Engineer-In-Training role offers 2+ years of experience growth within a Fortune 100 Best employer.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (ABET accredited)
  • 2+ years of relevant mechanical/HVAC experience
  • EIT/EI certification or ability to obtain
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems (load calculations, ductwork, basic system design)
  • Working knowledge of Plumbing systems (basic layouts and coordination)
  • Experience with Revit or BIM-based design tools
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and contribute to a team environment

Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in design and project coordination
  • Experience supporting multiple project types, including commercial, hospitality, municipal, and/or federal sectors
  • Demonstrated growth toward independent task execution and technical problem-solving
