Job Summary
Perform mechanical design and layout of industrial piping, pumping systems, storage tanks, and related equipment. Support field inspections to gather data for engineering design and planning, while preparing technical drawings using AutoCAD and Plant 3D. Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to develop project plans and specifications, ensuring all work complies with applicable industry standards and client requirements. Organize and maintain project documentation, reports, and communication logs using Microsoft Office tools. Requires 5+ years of engineering experience, a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Plant 3D. Ability to travel and pass a military background check is required.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- EIT is required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Plant 3D
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, and Project
- Understanding of industrial mechanical systems, including piping layout, pumping systems, and storage tanks
- Ability to travel, visit military bases
- Must be able to pass a military background check
Desired Qualifications
- Engineering experience working on Department of Defense contracts
- Piping Inspector Certification
- PE License
