Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer to design and document engineered-to-order power distribution and switching cabinets for data centers. Create 3D CAD models (sheet metal, bus bar, assemblies), develop complex drawings and bills of materials, submit and release Engineering Change Orders in CAD/PLM, and interpret design standards (UL). Collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare prototype orders, and coordinate materials with Project Managers. Must interpret schematics with electrical components (fuses, circuit breakers). Requires 3D CAD experience (Solid Edge or Creo preferred); Oracle PLM experience is a plus; familiarity with ANSYS/thermal/airflow simulations is a plus. Degree pathways accepted include a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience, an Associate's in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years, or a High School Diploma with 15+ years. The role emphasizes planning, organizing, documentation, communication, teamwork, and a fast-paced environment.
