Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer responsible for the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of mechanical systems on the client site. Delivers general and mechanical maintenance both planned and reactive, ensures compliance with Health & Safety, environmental, and industry regulations, completes training and competency assessments, and supports the on-site out-of-hours call-out team. Technical focus areas include domestic water systems, heating systems, boilers, chiller plant, and sprinkler systems. Requires completed mechanical apprenticeship and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent; must be IT-literate with CMMS and able to self-manage workload and communicate effectively. Portsmouth, United Kingdom onsite role with standard hours and Veolia benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Completed Mechanical Apprenticeship
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Strong practical mechanical skills
- Experience working independently in technical maintenance
- Competent in safe systems of work and H&S standards
- IT literate (CMMS)
- Able to self-manage workload and communicate effectively
