Job Summary
Join Varex Imaging as a Mechanical Engineer to work on next-generation X-ray detectors, managing mechanical architecture and design while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your role includes developing manufacturing jigs, maintaining CAD models in Solidworks, and supporting prototyping and testing. Candidates should have over 5 years of mechanical design experience, with skills in thermal management and system-level design, paired with excellent communication.
Required Qualifications
- Around 5+ years of relevant mechanical design experience
- Experience designing enclosures for electronics with high thermal loads
- Understanding of thermal management techniques for electronics
- Proficiency in system‐level design and DFM/DFA
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional working proficiency in English
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with thermal and/or CFD simulation
- Experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis of complex assemblies
- Experience conducting V&V in regulated industries
- Experience working within regulated development processes (ISO 13485) and designing for applicable safety standards (IEC 60601‐1, IEC 61010‐1)
