Job Summary
Develop 3D models, assembly drawings, and detail designs to Valmet specifications while performing calculations to ensure equipment compliance with contract expectations. Complete bills of material, verify drawing quality and accuracy, and utilize 3D scan data to engineer and verify equipment fit. Lead design teams on small to medium projects, supervise personnel to meet schedule and budget targets, and facilitate resolution of equipment or design problems with manager input. Participate in safety risk assessments and provide technical support for customer project meetings. Up to 20% travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate, Technician, Technologist diploma from a two or three year college, or Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) from four-year college or university
- minimum of two years related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
