Job Summary
Manage complete projects involving the design, development, modification, fabrication, assembly, estimation, and testing of prototype assemblies for electronic and electro-mechanical equipment. Use Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) software to develop 3D models, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, and complete Technical Data Packages (TDPs), serving as the primary point of contact for TDP development. Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on models and assemblies to validate design concepts, evaluate structural integrity, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and overall safety. Requires a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, three years of related experience, and an active security clearance. Works in an office environment or production shops near machinery, requiring safety equipment and occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from accredited college or university
- Accreditation of educational institution must come from an institution recognized by either the United States Department of Education (USDE) or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
- Three years' experience as related experience
- additional education (MA/PhD) may be substituted for up to 1 year experience
- Requires an active security clearance or the ability to obtain one
- Must be physically able to travel utilizing all means of transportation
- Required to wear safety clothing and equipment appropriate to the area in which work is being done
