Job Summary
The Mechanical Engineer will research, design and support mechanical, electromechanical, and hydraulic products and systems in an office and manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include analyzing data to determine design feasibility, performing tolerance stack-ups and hydraulic displacement analyses, conducting stress/strain, shear, torsional, and vibration analyses, designing hardware and systems, developing test apparatus and procedures, supporting product testing and prototypes, evaluating field installations for design improvements, interfacing with manufacturing, sales, sourcing, and product support, creating/editing manuals and drawings, preparing technical reports, managing engineering BOMs in ERP, and guiding cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. Travel to customer meetings/tradeshows and in-field testing (<10%) is expected. Preferred qualifications include SolidWorks CAD, manufacturing experience, SAE/CE design standards, DFMEA, Lean and Six Sigma training/certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3-5 years of engineering experience
- Experience with stress and load analysis
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- 3-5 years of CAD software experience
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical documents
- U.S. Citizenship required
