Job Summary
Mechanical Team Lead at CESO oversees the design, coordination, and delivery of engineering construction documentation, specifications, and details across multiple complex projects. Responsible for managing production teams, setting priorities, and ensuring alignment with project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and company best practices. Leads internal and external meetings, provides technical guidance, mentors team members, and reviews/approves engineering deliverables to ensure technical accuracy. Utilizes engineering software to evaluate and refine designs, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to high-level technical reports and project documentation. Travel up to 25% may be required; the role supports a flexible and hybrid work schedule within an Equal Opportunity Employer framework.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university and 8 or more years of relevant experience is preferred; Or a minimum of 10 years of professional experience is required.
- Master’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering, or similar discipline, can substitute up to 1 year of work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or management role is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is strongly preferred.
- Completion of Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (FE) and certification as an Engineering in Training (EIT) with a state licensure board is preferred.
- Travel may be up to 25% as directed by supervisor.
- Computer skills to enter daily timesheet data and use Microsoft Outlook for email; Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Deltek, Autodesk Revit, Visual Lighting, SKM Power Tools, BlueBeam Revu and other applicable design software.
