Job Summary
Booster Mechanical Engineering role focusing on creating a rapidly manufacturable 1st Stage. As a structures engineer, you partner with design teams to ensure manufacturability, oversee hardware production lifecycle, and drive changes to parts, processes, planning, and tooling to improve the production system. Responsibilities include developing production procedures, transitioning assemblies from development to high-rate production, coordinating development/qualification/acceptance testing, executing design-for-manufacture changes, creating CAD models/prints for flight and tooling components, leading on-site design engineering for build of parts, maintaining build schedules, resolving manufacturing discrepancies with the quality team, participating in design reviews, and collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams to advance current and next-generation vehicles. Preferred: Master’s in mechanical/manufacturing/aerospace/materials/industrial engineering and DFMA experience; aerospace production environment experience; experience with large mechanical assemblies; experience transitioning products from R&D to high-volume manufacturing; ability to work extended hours and weekends; ITAR compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- 1+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or production
