Job Summary
Provide engineering support to maintenance and operations during equipment installation, commissioning, start-up, and steady-state thermal/coating treatment or finishing operations. Lead area mechanical engineering efforts to achieve plant safety, quality, and sustainability objectives while troubleshooting equipment and process problems. Develop repair and rebuild maintenance procedures, manage equipment rebuilds with contracted resources, and oversee capital improvement projects. Transition into technical equipment experts focusing on process optimization, restoring flow during breakdowns, and leading continuous improvement initiatives in slitting, tension lines, and coating operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum of five years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Verification of employment eligibility is required at the time of hire
- Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position
- Expertise in web handling and slitting processes
- Knowledgeable about tension control
- Knowledgeable about trimming
- Knowledgeable about slitting
