Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer (Starlink Components) designs, builds, and implements test systems for testing satellite components; collaborates with cross-discipline teams (electrical, mechanical, controls, software) to develop integrated test systems; responsible for designing and implementing custom equipment for testing satellite components, including mechanical design, thermal and fluid system design; work in factory and test labs to ensure components meet vehicle requirements; travel to SpaceX locations and adjust to site operational needs; heavy emphasis on CAD/PLM tools and GD&T while applying electromechanical and mechatronic concepts to test equipment; ITAR-compliant, with ongoing collaboration with production and leadership to meet reliability and rate goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or other engineering discipline
