Job Summary
Construction Manager role serving as the Owner's Representative on VA healthcare construction programs in Huntington, WV. Acts from design through construction and closeout, learning and applying the company’s project-delivery practices in a healthcare setting; liaison with client user groups, design teams, contractors, and facility engineering representatives; supports Design-Bid-Build and Design/Build contracts; responsibilities include analyzing financial data, budgets, and cost trends; reviewing schedules, supporting progress evaluations, conducting meetings, ensuring QA/QC, assisting with claims, change management, and contract modifications; prepares analytic reports and program status documentation; maintains reporting tools for program oversight and advises leadership on best practices and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in construction administration, construction management, or related field
- Experience supporting regulated environments (federal, healthcare, institutional) preferred
- PE license preferred (Professional Engineer)
- CCM, PMP certifications preferred
- RCDD Certification preferred
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational communication skills
- Familiarity with construction practices, QA, scheduling, cost management, and change management
- Ability to collaborate with program leadership, clients, and contractors
