Job Summary
Translate customer requirements into detailed mechanical designs while delivering DFx and ensuring standards compliance. Conduct design calculations, support prototyping, testing and validation of electro‐mechanical systems, and perform FMEA and reliability assessments. Collaborate with suppliers, produce technical reports, participate in design reviews, and follow QMS and 5S practices. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player and problem solver with strong expertise in mechanical product design and reliability engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related scientific (Physics/Chemical Engineering) degree
- Proven industry experience in mechanical product design
- Strong problem‐solving skills
- Knowledge of standards compliance and reliability engineering methods
- Strong expertise with SolidWorks (or another CAD package, with the willingness to transfer to SolidWorks)
- Experience with environmental and functional testing of electro‐mechanical systems
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with DriveWorks
- Model Based Definition
- PDM systems
- SAP variant configuration
- Experience with hazardous-area product design
- Use of FEA, CFD or ray‐tracing tools (eg, COMSOL, TracePro)
