Job Summary
Manage thermal management system and component programs while supporting North American OEM and tier customers on expansion valves, bypass valves, and receiver dryers. Lead product development activities including internal design reviews, gate reviews, weekly customer PDT meetings, and PPAP preparation. Support new business acquisition through customer specification analysis and technical proposals, while driving engineering change processes and cost reduction initiatives. Conduct design of experiments and failure analysis for thermal products, presenting validation results to stakeholders. Coordinate design and development activities with the China headquarters, requiring proficiency in Chinese and cross-functional collaboration. Some local, domestic, and international travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- BS Mechanical Engineering
- 0-2 years' experience HVAC systems/components development
- master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge in thermodynamics
- Knowledge in thermal management
- Knowledge in fluid dynamics
- Competency in MS office applications
- Competency in GD&T
- Competency in mechanical drafting
- Competency in DVP&R
- Competency in DFMEA
- Competency in DRBFM methodologies
- Parametric CAD design experience (Catia V5 or UGNX)
- Must be proficient in Chinese
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Some local, domestic and international travel may be required
Desired Qualifications
- 0-2 years' experience HVAC systems/components development or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
