Job Summary
The Mechanical Engineer will design and lay out HVAC systems for various facility types, develop relationships with teams and clients, and ensure effective communication. Expect to facilitate project needs, assist in project documentation and estimation, and represent the group’s capabilities. Candidates must possess a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of HVAC design experience, with a preferred emphasis on plumbing and fire protection. Proficiency in relevant software and strong problem-solving skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in HVAC design and layout
- Ability to perform under pressure and work on multiple projects concurrently
- Demonstrate a high standard of ethics, professionalism, client focus, customer service, ownership, and accountability
- Ability to undergo short-term domestic travel
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and BIM 360 collaboration
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Load and Energy Modeling Software (DOE-2, eQUEST, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace, or other)
- Familiarity with COMcheck and BIM strategies using Revit
