Job Summary
Coordinate maintenance and repair projects for rotating equipment including boiler fans, feed pumps, and turbine systems to ensure plant reliability. Lead root cause failure analysis and failure modes effects analysis processes while developing preventative maintenance activities aligned with reliability centered maintenance philosophy. Manage outage budgets, oversee contractor work scopes, and provide technical leadership during outages and emergent repairs. Complete initial training involving shadowing operations shifts on a DuPont schedule. Work in an industrial environment around high-pressure steam with potential for 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college
- Ability to clearly communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others
- Ability to oversee and coordinate with craft labor to maintain quality control
- Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to read and understand maintenance procedures
- Ability to establish and maintain a highly organized work environment
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Ability to work unsupervised as required
- Must be able to sit, stand, reach, stoop, and lift boxes weighing as much as 25 pounds
- Must be able to walk distances of up to a quarter of a mile over rocky and uneven surfaces
- Must be comfortable working in an industrial environment and around high-pressure steam
- Regular and reliable attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Five (5) years of experience with Turbine Generators and Rotating Equipment
- Possession, or Pursuance of, a Professional Engineer License
- Knowledge of: Rotating Equipment, Vibration Analysis, Machine Design, Bearings, Mechanical Seals
- Knowledge of: Cranes, Hoists, and Rigging
- Knowledge of: Precision alignment of rotating equipment trains
- Knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite, for preparation of presentations and reports
