Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer with bulk materials handling and minerals processing experience to join our Perth team. You will deliver mechanical design for bulk materials handling systems (conveyors, transfer stations, chutes, feeders, and related equipment), perform engineering calculations and design checks, analyse conveyor and material flow performance using tools such as Sidewinder, Belt Analyst, Helix, or Rocky DEM, and develop technical documents and vendor packages. You will liaise with vendors during procurement, assist senior engineers with reports, coordinate with structural, electrical, and civil teams, ensure compliance with Australian Standards and safety requirements, and support project delivery from concept through detailed design. Strong communication and collaboration within multidisciplinary project teams are essential, as is applying knowledge of Australian mining equipment standards. Flexible work arrangements including hybrid options are available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2-7 years demonstrated experience in bulk materials handling design within mining, resources, or heavy industry
- Strong capability in engineering design, analysis, and technical problem solving
