Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on, versatile Mechanical Engineer who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys solving complex problems across the full product lifecycle. Responsibilities include designing and engineering production-ready products, transforming ideas into reality, anticipating risks and building resilient backup plans, and contributing to system quality improvement. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields, demonstrate a solid portfolio in mechanism design, and have an understanding of manufacturing techniques. Essential skills include problem solving, teamwork, and a proactive attitude.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or related field of study
- Demonstrated interest and solid portfolio of case parts and/or mechanism design
- Understanding of injection moulding, die casting and common manufacturing techniques and finishes
- Creative and considered approach to problem solving
- Strong aptitude for problem solving and ability to organise and prioritize work
- Resourceful, adaptable, and proactive team player
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant master's degree is an added advantage
- Preferred experience in consumer electronics type products
- Experience verifying performance through empirical testing as well as analytical models
