Job Summary
Own the mechanical definition of production-scale Anduril systems and collaborate with designers, manufacturing engineers, and production partners to ramp production. Investigate, analyze, and resolve complex quality issues to improve product performance; design new components to keep pace with rapid product evolution; implement design for manufacture and assembly feedback to improve production processes; oversee creation of engineering documentation and BOM for final as-shipped product; serve as the mechanical authority for configuration and change management; support qualification campaigns to validate operational capabilities; travel to exercises and work alongside warfighters to gather feedback. Requires a BS or higher in engineering, 2+ years of mechanical experience, CAD skills, BOM/Drawing management in PLM, strong first-principles engineering, RCA/PCA experience, and U.S. Person status to access export-controlled data; top secret clearance or ability to obtain is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- BS or higher in an engineering field
- 2+ years of professional mechanical experience
- CAD skills and ability to make high quality engineering drawings and other documentation
- Experience with managing a BOM and drawings in a PLM
- U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
- Experience with complex root cause analysis (RCA) and implementation of permanent corrective action (PCA) related to quality improvement
- High competence with engineering first principles
