Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer Plumbing to support the Miami VA Medical Center project. Provide project/construction management consultation for a major program or multiple projects, oversee technical quality, cost and schedule, maintain daily progress and inspection reports, support QA teams, and ensure compliance with VA standards, FAR, NFPA, and OSHA. Proficiency in reading drawings, specifications, and construction schedules is required. Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering (or 10 years of directly related experience in lieu of degree), a Florida PE license, and a minimum of 7 years’ experience in facility construction management, with experience in Utility Boiler Plant projects within Federal or Healthcare facilities. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Full-time position with benefits; relocation support not specified.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University or 10 years of directly related experience in lieu of degree
- Licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer in the State of Florida
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in management of facility construction projects
- Experience in Utility Boiler Plant on Federal or Healthcare Facilities
- Experience in supervision of engineering, design and construction, schedule control, cost management and program budgeting, and overall project management activities
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, as well as communicate effectively with project construction team members
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
