Job Summary
As a Mechanical Engineer, P.E., you will work with a team of industry experts to design mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and water systems for manufacturing and commercial facilities. Responsibilities include completing calculations, developing specifications, overseeing mechanical design, and interacting with multidisciplinary project teams. The role requires a minimum of eight years of experience in mechanical design, proficiency in AutoCAD, and the ability to complete system analysis. A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a PE license are mandatory, while additional experience in the food and beverage industry is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of eight years of experience executing mechanical design on multi-disciplinary projects
- The ability to complete mechanical system analysis, sizing, design, and report writing
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited institution
- A professional engineer (PE) license
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the mechanical design elements of manufacturing and distribution facilities for the food, beverage, dairy, or consumer products industries (preferred)
- Experience in the design of advanced technologies, life sciences, or facility/building mechanical systems including HVAC (air handling units, chemical and laminar fume hoods, unit heaters/coolers) (preferred)
- Revit experience (preferred)
- Experience in refrigeration system design (preferred)
