Job Summary
Mid-level Mechanical Professional Engineer (PE) overseeing small to mid-size mechanical and HVAC/Plumbing design projects across commercial, industrial, retail, medical, municipal, and educational facilities. Responsibilities include project management tasks such as creating and tracking budgets, scheduling projects, reviewing construction documents, designing HVAC/R systems (chilled water, boilers, VAV, heat pumps, ductwork), supervising installation, preparing cost estimates and specifications, managing mechanical engineering for projects, balancing workloads, attending client meetings, and performing construction administration alongside the Engineer of Record. Requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, PE license (Texas or eligible transfer within six months), at least 2 years of licensed experience in mechanical systems design, and proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Strong interpersonal and communication skills desired.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- At least 2 years of licensed experience designing Mechanical HVAC/Plumbing systems for commercial and industrial buildings
- Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
