Job Summary
Design, develop, and validate products from concept to production by establishing design parameters for manufacturing feasibility and providing direction to designers on fabrication, processing, and assembly. Interface with account managers, platform managers, and customers to determine product requirements, then approve engineering drawings while identifying performance and material specifications. Implement design activities through a formal AQP program using Team Center for lifecycle management, applying value engineering and analysis techniques to optimize design, reduce costs, and standardize current and new designs. Manage tolerance stack-ups and drive all design efforts to maximize economic benefits. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 60 months of experience and strong problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 60 months of experience in Mechanical Engineering
- Certification or related field
- Strong interpersonal skills
