Job Summary
Plan, administer, and design mechanical HVAC, energy, and plumbing projects while reviewing work for code compliance. Establish client relationships, write proposals, and win work to ensure client objectives are met. Perform design calculations, prepare equipment specifications, and create graphical design representations. Carry projects from Notice-To-Proceed through construction administration, including participation in review meetings. Supervise designers and technical support personnel as needed. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required with 7 years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, and energy design. New Mexico PE license required. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
- Minimum of 7 years of mechanical engineering experience with a background in HVAC, plumbing, controls, and energy design
- A minimum of 2 years experience managing tasks, and small projects
- Solid understanding of mechanical design and construction standards
- Demonstrated experience in the design of commercial, industrial, educational, and governmental buildings, small industrial plants and warehouses, central chilled water and heating plants
- Working knowledge of applicable mechanical, plumbing and energy design codes
- Experience in leading mechanical design team thru project
- Project Management experience
- NM PE required or obtainable
- Professional registration in New Mexico required or obtainable
- Valid NM drivers' license required
- Must meet company insurability requirements

- Fire protection design a plus
- Licenses in other states a plus
- Fire Protection PE a plus
