Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer with nuclear CGD expertise focused on commercial-grade dedication activities in accordance with regulatory requirements. Responsible for evaluating components, materials, and suppliers for nuclear applications; reviewing specifications, drawings, and procurement documents; developing and executing evaluations, test plans, and inspection criteria; interfacing with suppliers, OEMs, and internal teams to ensure compliance with nuclear quality standards (e.g., NQA-1); supporting audits and documentation related to dedication and procurement engineering; providing guidance on material selection, design verification, and component suitability across cross-functional teams in a regulated nuclear environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related engineering discipline)
- 5+ years of direct experience in the nuclear industry
- Demonstrated experience with commercial grade dedication (CGD) processes
- Strong understanding of nuclear codes and standards (ASME, NQA-1, etc.)
- Experience reviewing technical documentation and supplier evaluations
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and quality teams
