Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Engineer with 15+ years of experience in HVAC design for commercial, institutional, industrial, and healthcare facilities. Responsibilities include leading mechanical project teams, guiding junior engineers, conducting client meetings, performing quality control of drawings, site inspections, and commissioning when needed. Proficiencies include AutoCAD (required), Revit (a plus), and Trace 700 for cooling loads (and energy models). Hybrid work arrangement and relocation expenses paid.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in design of heating and air conditioning for commercial, institutional, industrial, and/or healthcare buildings
- Extensive knowledge in design/construction of chilled water, hot water, and steam; air handling systems; building automation systems related to HVAC
- Experience managing mechanical engineering project teams; mentoring engineers
- Client meetings; quality control reviews of mechanical drawings; site inspections; editing book specifications
- Site inspections and possible commissioning; minimal overnight travel
- AutoCAD required; Revit a plus
- Trace 700 for building cooling loads and energy models a plus
- Overnight travel minimal
- Hybrid work schedule
