Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer role focused on designing and integrating complex mechanical and electromechanical systems powering next-generation hardware across aerospace, transportation, robotics, and advanced mobility. Responsibilities include owning components/subassemblies from concept through production release, designing and developing mechanical/electromechanical assemblies using Siemens NX, applying DFM/DFX/DFC principles for scalable designs, producing production-ready drawings with GD&T, collaborating with suppliers and manufacturing teams for part bring-up and early production, supporting inspection planning and validation fundamentals, performing mechanical analyses (FEA, tolerance, basic thermal/structural), participating in design reviews, and providing hands-on support during assembly, integration, and testing. Requires minimum 4 years of mechanical product development experience, a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred), proficiency in Siemens NX, strong GD&T knowledge, and experience across multiple manufacturing processes; preferred aerospace exposure and familiarity with environmental testing standards (DO-160). Competitive compensation, equity participation, benefits, and US location pay range ($110k–$123,750) are offered.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience developing mechanical products
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred; relevant professional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
- Proficiency in Siemens NX (required)
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T and drawing release practices
- Experience supporting parts from prototype through production release
- Experience with multiple manufacturing processes (sheet metal fabrication, die casting, high-precision machining, injection molding or similar scalable processes)
- Experience collaborating with suppliers and manufacturing teams
- Working knowledge of quality fundamentals including inspection processes and basic SPC concepts
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Hands-on, production-oriented mindset with ownership and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working hands-on in lab and production
- Willingness to learn and take on more ownership over time
- Balance between performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost within defined scope
- Collaborative mindset with systems awareness and ownership of assigned work
