Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years of experience, to work on cutting-edge military/government/commercial products. Role involves end-to-end hands-on engineering across design, testing, and analysis, including CAD design, CFD/FEA simulations, fabrication, laboratory builds, and iterative testing. Opportunity to lead projects and research across HVAC for demanding military applications, diesel engine component design and electrification, robotics and additive manufacturing, ZnS window fabrication for hypersonic vehicles, laser weapon cooling systems, and more. Proficiency with ANSYS/FLUENT for CFD/FEA modeling; ability to perform analytical calculations, experimental testing, and possibly proposal writing. Emphasis on practical, hands-on work, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering manufacturable designs. Equal opportunity employer; US citizenship required under ITAR.
Required Qualifications
- BSME +3 years of experience OR MSME from an Accredited University
- GPA not less than 3.3 at all degree levels
- US Citizenship required due to ITAR regulations
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Interest in hands-on engineering work in one or more focus areas of Mainstream
- Prior experience in design, test, and/or analysis with an interest in learning more about each
- ANSYS experience with willingness to verify design through test
- Knowledge of testing equipment and setups is a plus
- CFD/FEA modeling (ANSYS/FLUENT) experience is a plus
