Job Summary
Lead the engineering and technical execution of CEMS and chemical systems for power plant projects. Develop system architecture, functional specifications, component specifications, and ordering documents for CEMS and related plant chemistry packages. Support plant chemistry scope including dosing, sampling, water treatment, wastewater treatment, and water/steam cycle applications. Prepare and maintain core engineering documents such as P&IDs, calculation notes, interface documents, and technical dossiers. Evaluate supplier offers, review supplier documentation, resolve technical queries, and ensure alignment with customer and company standards. Manage technical interfaces across suppliers, customers, project teams, and internal engineering functions. Support tendering activities by reviewing specifications, identifying risks, and defining the technical approach. Provide technical support during project execution, commissioning, and operational troubleshooting, including occasional site support. Contribute to continuous improvement, standardization, and development initiatives within the CEMS and plant chemistry scope. Perform Laboratory analyses required for development of new technology or troubleshooting of power plants. Travel to power plants all over the world on short notice for troubleshooting and customer support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or equivalent
- 10+ years of relevant experience in CEMS, plant chemistry, or related power plant systems
- Strong experience in emission monitoring systems, including gas analyzers, instrumentation, and package engineering
- Strong knowledge of plant chemistry systems, including dosing, sampling, water treatment, wastewater treatment, and water/steam cycle chemistry
- Experience developing technical specifications, reviewing supplier documentation, and supporting procurement and execution activities
- Experience in laboratory water analyses like ion chromatography
- Experience in commissioning support and troubleshooting is an advantage
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
