Job Summary
End-to-End Design Engineering: lead and assist in HVAC load calculations, system sizing, equipment selection, and development of 2D/3D CAD drawings. Research and evaluate HVAC technologies for feasibility and maintenance. Hands-on fabrication and testing, including designing test control apparatus and procedures. Project stewardship of small-to-medium projects with cross-discipline coordination. Field engineering and forensic analysis of existing infrastructure to diagnose failures and mitigation. BIM and schematic development; ensure designs comply with mechanical, plumbing, and fire codes. Produce technical documentation including performance requirements, construction specifications, and installation manuals.
Required Qualifications
- Education: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college.
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Security Clearance: Active US Security Clearance.
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience, preferably within a design firm setting.
- Licensure: EIT (Engineer in Training) status.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD (AutoCAD and SolidWorks preferred) and Microsoft Office.
- Technical Skillset: Proven experience with shop/hand tools and the ability to perform engineering calculations with limited supervision.
