Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer in Axis Communications’ FC&R mechanics group at the Lund HQ, involved in creating mechanical solutions for fixed cameras and integrated radar products. You’ll collaborate with electronics designers, industrial designers, and product owners to move concepts from sketches to finished products, contribute to prototypes, and support transition to volume production. The role emphasizes teamwork, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and ownership of mechanical development, with a preference for candidates who are adept with 3D CAD (prefer Creo Parametric) and have a passion for turning innovative ideas into robust designs for consumer electronics or mechatronics applications.
Required Qualifications
- University or college education in mechanical engineering
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (Creo Parametric) is a distinct advantage
- Experience driving mechanical development from concept to volume production
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines (electrical, industrial design, product ownership)
- Ability to take ownership of mechanical development and lead design efforts
