Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design of complex assemblies for Lumafield's industrial CT systems, driving from concept through prototyping to manufacturable solutions. Partner across disciplines (electrical, firmware, systems, software) to decompose business goals into technical solutions, accelerate timelines through informed tradeoffs, mentor junior engineers, and deliver well-scoped milestones for quarter-scale goals in an in-person Cambridge/Boston area role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering field
- experience designing mechanical systems for hardware
- ability to prototype and test
- strong collaboration across disciplines (electrical, firmware, systems, software)
- mentoring or leadership experience (preferred)
- portfolio of mechanical designs or shipped products (preferred)
