Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer Levels 2-3 responsible for designing and validating automation systems, CAD modeling (SolidWorks) for EOAT and fixtures, performing stress simulations and safety assessments (FMEA), integrating mechanical with electrical/controls frameworks, prototype testing, documentation, and on-site support. Level 3 duties include leading equipment layouts, subassemblies, and automation systems, managing small projects, mentoring junior engineers, and performing risk assessments. Requires 1-4 years (Level 2) or 4+ years (Level 3) in mechanical design/automation; Bachelor’s degree preferred; proficiency in SolidWorks and GD&T; robotics/automation experience. Salary: $60,000-$90,000. Location: Walker, Michigan, United States.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
