Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer role focusing on design, specification, and coordination of mechanical and control system interfaces for intralogistics automation projects. Key responsibilities include designing and specifying technical solutions, managing design interfaces across subsystems, conducting hazard analyses, supporting subcontractor audits and purchasing, creating RFQs and evaluating supplier offers, technically reviewing supplier proposals, managing supplier activities through project lifecycle, planning on-site assembly and commissioning, conducting factory and on-site tests, acting as focal point for on-site technical and commissioning issues, performing quality checks, coordinating and documenting subsystem tests, maintaining relationships with customers and suppliers, representing the company in meetings, and potentially providing on-the-job training and sales support. Travel to site locations is required.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- System Engineering
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD design
- Experience with mechanical and electrical site installation, commissioning, and testing
- Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, ASME
- MS Project
- Solid Works (or other 3D-modelling software)
- Experience with Automated Material Handling Equipment such as Autostore or Light Goods Conveyor
- Understanding of warehouse management software products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Willingness to travel and spend extended periods on site
- Ability to review and finalize technical details with suppliers
