Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the design and testing of mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment. Duties include driving a continuous improvement-based vision for the team and manufacturing processes; performing process calculations for thermal and mechanical systems; designing mechanical parts and assemblies for thermal processing, automation, and process machinery; coordinating with Electrical Engineering manager to implement instrumentation and controls; managing CAD design team and creating sketches, layouts, and drawings; producing preliminary and detailed models using CAD software; drafting specifications for components and instruments; selecting materials to meet thermal and mechanical requirements; performing FEA where appropriate; supporting manufacturing with inquiries; ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ISO 9001:2015 standards; maintaining records per company standards and industry regulations; preparing requisitions for components and materials for manufacturing MRP; potential travel up to 10%; performing other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred
