Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer with Internal Sales Support responsibilities: provide technical sales support to customers, distributors, and internal teams; review customer specifications and drawings; prepare quotations, proposals, and cost estimates; coordinate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure accurate project execution; assist customers with product selection and troubleshooting; maintain relationships and support new business opportunities; track orders and follow up on quotes; ensure timely communication and excellent customer service throughout the sales process. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred), experience in internal/technical sales or customer support (preferred), ability to read mechanical drawings, strong communication and organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
- Previous experience in internal sales, technical sales, applications engineering, or customer support preferred
- Manufacturing or industrial environment experience strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
