Join Droyd as a Mechanical Engineering Intern, where you’ll work hands-on designing and building mechanical subsystems for our autonomous robotic systems. This role involves prototyping, testing, and integrating with electronics.
Required Qualifications
- Current juniors or seniors studying mechanical engineering or a related field
- Hands-on experience from clubs, personal projects, or coursework involving physical hardware
- Ability to demonstrate projects taken from concept to a physical build
- Comfortable using modern CAD tools (Onshape preferred, but not required)
- Willingness to balance school and work in a fast-paced, build-heavy environment
- Ability to take ownership and learn quickly
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with FEA, topology optimization, or generative design
- Exposure to machining, tolerancing, or manufacturing workflows
- Familiarity with electronics, motors, or control systems
- Interest in industrial or visual design
