Job Summary
Hands-on Mechanical/MEP design co-op for Fall 2026 focused on mechanical/HVAC design and energy-efficient building systems. Co-ops will learn under Professional Engineers, producing detailed HVAC layouts, one-line diagrams, and organized sets of drawings, with opportunities for field verification and collaboration on challenging CMTA/Legence projects. Responsibilities include contributing to layout and equipment details, generating schematics, assembling drawing sets, assisting with data collection, and supporting design teams. The role emphasizes teamwork, technical proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT, and travel to local job sites. On-site, full-time (40 hrs/week) internship beginning August 2026, with potential for multiple rotations and future full-time consideration.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (sophomore or junior preferred)
- Strong interest in Building Systems Mechanical Engineering
- AutoCAD and REVIT experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- Ability to work full time in our office throughout the co-op term
- Ability to travel locally for job site inspections, field work, etc.
