Job Summary
Hands-on engineering design/co-op opportunity focused on mechanical/HVAC/energy design within CMTA's building systems projects. Learn to produce detailed HVAC layout and equipment details, one-line diagrams/schematics, and assist the design team in assembling organized sets of drawings while potentially participating in data collection and field verification. Mentored by Professional Engineers in AutoCAD and REVIT, with training on real CMTA projects and opportunities for multiple rotations and potential consideration for full-time employment after graduation. Onsite co-op term with a competitive hourly pay rate, starting August 2026 and lasting through Fall 2026; travel to local job sites required.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, preferably a sophomore (2nd year) or junior (3rd year)
- Strong interest in Building Systems Mechanical Engineering
- AutoCAD and REVIT experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- Ability to work full time in our office throughout the co-op term
- Ability to travel locally for job site inspections, field work, etc.
