Job Summary
Develop effective improvements throughout the department by taking direction from the Plant Manager on improvement projects. Coordinate projects from inception to completion and report their status in a monthly report. Prepare reports, analyze data, and perform visual inspections to detect small defects using microscopes and measurement devices. Manage job-related stress and accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary. Work inside environmental conditions while operating electronic and mechanical devices.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of 4-year college with emphasis in Engineering or equivalent experience in industry
- Must be familiar with report writing and preparation
- Proficient English communications skills
- Training and demonstrated computer skills
- Proficient in CAD and Drawing Parts
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance
- Demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress
- Fostering productive workplace interactions
- Hearing, perceiving the nature of sounds with no less than a 40 db. loss @ 500Hz, 1000Hz, and 2000Hz with or without correction
- Ability to receive verbal communication and to make fine discriminations in sound
- Must be able to detect visual defects in film
- Must be able to use microscopes
- Must be able to perform visual inspection involving small defects
- Must be able to read measurement devices such as tape measurement, pendulum scale, digital displays, etc
- Position requires individual to differentiate colors, depth and perception
- Must be able to differentiate colors, depth and perception
