Mechanical Engineer-in-Training

Job Summary

Assist in the design and preparation of construction drawings for various mechanical projects using Revit and other related software. Perform engineering calculations, interpret engineering drawings and specifications, and conduct site visits to gather data, including measurements, sketches, notes, and photographs. Work with multiple engineering disciplines to perform drafting/CADD work, prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for review and approval. Review and approve shop drawings, read technical documents, and consult with other practices and sub-consultants to ensure project success. Attend bi-weekly meetings to discuss progress and ensure all projects fulfill ISO compliance requirements while operating within specified budget parameters. Achieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization targets and complete all tasks on time and within budget.

Required Qualifications

  • 0-2 Years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited Program
  • General knowledge of required design software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good communication and technical writing skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to maintain required certifications
  • Pre-employment drug screening
  • Background check

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous internships or work experience in the Engineering field
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
