Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and testing equipment and fabrication to meet customer requirements, ensuring manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance. Collaborates cross-functionally with Project Management, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to deliver products from ideation to production; creates manufacturable drawings and installation documentation; conducts feasibility, functional, and quality testing; leverages 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor) and PDM (Vault) to develop concepts and ensure milestones. Requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience and 5+ years of product design experience in a manufacturing environment; proficient in 3D CAD, materials knowledge, and strong communication and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years of related product design experience
- Proficient in 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor) and Autodesk Vault
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and production techniques, specifically steel and sheet metal manufacturing environments
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, communication, and people skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to accommodate periodic weekend or evening work when expected
