Job Summary
Hands-on design and support of SICK products through the full product lifecycle, including design and testing of new offerings and enhancement of existing production lines. Develop and execute projects per design control, quality, and regulatory requirements; support product lifecycle management from change control to phase-out; collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet technical, cost, and schedule targets; author technical documents and reports; plan and conduct tests to verify operation, reliability, and performance; participate in peer reviews; work with Product Management to deliver innovative products; contribute to cross-functional project teams; use prototypes and MVPs to test ideas; develop knowledge of current and new SICK products and engineering processes; work independently on large projects; train teammates on SICK processes; perform mechanical engineering duties including drawings, BOMs, specifications, risk assessment, and cost estimations; analyze materials and parts with respect to strength, weights, and tolerances; ensure compliance with standards and agency approvals; utilize CAD and project-management tools to streamline development; perform additional duties as needed; travel up to 5% internationally/domestically; standard office environment with hybrid options.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
