Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer III to design HVAC and mechanical utility systems for new construction and renovations, lead small to mid-sized mechanical scopes, mentor junior engineers, and contribute across the full project lifecycle from concept through construction. Responsibilities include performing heating/cooling load calculations, energy modeling, developing construction documents (drawings, P&IDs, specifications, layouts), selecting equipment in line with codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA), leading mechanical budgets and deadlines, coordinating with architects/engineers/contractors/clients, site visits and construction support (RFIs, submittals, punch lists), and enforcing CRB quality standards while supporting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Preferred experience in life sciences/pharma/LAB/GMP environments and proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited)
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical system design (AEC environment preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience designing HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial or industrial facilities
