Job Summary
Independently apply standard design engineering techniques on small projects or segments of larger work, owning coordination, analyses, and documentation while serving as Engineer of Record. Develop design concepts with senior oversight, coordinate multi-discipline inputs, and lead job-site visits to monitor construction progress against specifications and codes. Review shop drawings, evaluate designer work for technical accuracy, and resolve model collisions through clash detection workflows. Coordinate with local authorities and utilities, develop discipline man-hour budgets, and respond to contractor questions during bid and construction phases. Maintain awareness of industry trends and assist in mentoring junior engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college
- four years applicable experience in discipline design and analysis
- Registered Professional Engineer
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Knowledge of engineering theories and methodologies
- proficiency with industry software (Revit and AutoCAD)
- Knowledge of discipline‐specific tools (e.g., Trace700, SKM)
